Dr. Jennifer Maratt is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine. Her research focuses on colorectal cancer screening and surveillance and patient-centered approaches to reducing low-value care and optimizing appropriate care with a specific interest in patient-provider communication.
She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and her medical degree from Rush Medical College. She then returned to Ann Arbor where she completed her internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Michigan. During her fellowship she received the T32 Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award from the National Institutes of Health for training in epidemiology and health services. Before coming to Regenstrief and IU, she was a clinical lecturer at the University of Michigan and staff physician at the Veterans Affairs Ann Arbor Healthcare System.
