Regenstrief Institute’s impact has been felt locally, nationally and globally — from the nation’s first critical care recovery program, to one of the largest and most complete statewide health information exchanges, worldwide data standards and HIT infrastructure in underserved areas. Institute research scientists and staff continue to connect and innovate to expand that impact and improve health and healthcare.

AMPATH – Health IT and a Global Partnership
Regenstrief Investigators began working within AMPATH in 2004 to develop patient record keeping systems that both improved the quality of care delivered and measure the consortium’s overall progress and efficiency. The AMPATH medical record system (AMRS) is a centerpiece of AMPATH Informatics and is a cornerstone of the initiative.
