Shaun Grannis, Shiaofen Fang, Kun Huang, and Brian Dixon invite you to an engaging event that aims to bring together the Indiana research community to explore the transformative potential of AI in healthcare. This conference will focus on sharing experiences, fostering collaborations, and building partnerships to advance research and innovation.

We will present research tasks focusing on the application of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning (ML) technologies in healthcare. Topics include (1) AI chatbot for mental health support using large language models, (2) dementia detection leveraging multimodal data, and (3) AI to understand the human brain. Following the presentation, we will lead a breakout session to explore the AI technical details behind these applications.
Panel: AI Practical Concepts and Components: How to Incorporate AI into Clinical Research

This session offers an overview to integrating AI into clinical research, covering essential hardware, infrastructure, and competencies. This panel will describe active efforts to develop and implement AI solutions into real-world clinical settings. The panel will discuss the importance and challenges associated with governance of AI, which is a critical precursor to implementation. The panelists will also describe real examples of AI introduced into clinical practice within health systems. The panelists will discuss successes and challenges thus far with the rollout of governance strategies and implementation efforts.

Our conference allows for 80 registrations and the conference is in-person only. Currently, we have met our capacity on our registrations and registration is closed.

The AI Conference is being hosted at Regenstrief Institute, located at 1101 West 10th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46202.
Parking is not available in front of the Institute. Parking is available at the Wilson Street Garage and the Lockefield Garage. Please let those at the registration desk know that you parked in the garage to obtain a validation for payment.
