Being an informal caregiver can be very stressful, but there is limited support for these individuals. The Indiana Family and Social Services Administration is conducting a survey to gather information about the experience of informal caregivers. It hopes to use this information to improve services that are available to support the health and wellbeing of caregivers.

The FSSA Division of Aging collaborated with Regenstrief Institute Research Scientist and Indiana University School of Medicine Associate Professor Nicole Fowler, PhD, MHSA, and others to create the study. It is being conducted by the IU Center for Survey Research.

The survey was created for Indiana residents who have assisted someone age 55 or older at least once a month in the last 12 months, without being paid. It can be completed online or over the phone.

For more information or to take the survey, call 800-258-769.
