Regenstrief Institute Center for Biomedical Informatics hosted Modernizing Indiana’s Public Health Data Infrastructure conference. One hundred and sixty in-person and virtual registrants represented numerous organizations, including health departments from across the state of Indiana.
The event was held at the Regenstrief building, and due to high demand for registration a virtual component had to be added. He also shared information about the support ASTHO provides to state and territorial health officials, health agency informatics leaders and public health practitioners to advance the successful modernization of public health data systems and operations.
During the conference, attendees had the opportunity to:
- Learn about new and ongoing data modernization initiatives in Indiana from representatives at ASTHO, IDOH, FSSA and local health departments.
- Collaborate with public health agencies, health systems, and research organizations tackling data collection, management, and use challenges.
- Generate new ideas about solving public health data challenges in Indiana to better serve and protect Hoosier health and well-being.
