Health Dart is a novel application that gathers data from the health information exchange specific to seven of the most common emergency department complaints. Developed in partnership among Regenstrief Institute, IU Health and Indiana Health Information Exchange (IHIE), the app uses FHIR® technology to search and filter for specific health records related to the patient’s complaint, gathering and returning the relevant data without leaving the EHR.

The app dramatically cuts down on time spent searching from minutes to mere seconds and allows the doctor to spend more time with the patient.
